Nicotiana tabacum L. Solanacee

This perennial plant is found in the tropical parts of America. However, it is regarded as an annual plant in temperate-zone countries such as Japan. Its plant height in Japan is 1.5 to 2 meters and flowering period is summer. The flowers are funnel-shaped, light red, and approximately 2 cm in diameter. Nicotine is found in the leaf mainly.
